Apr. 25, 2009 (Baseball Musings delivered by Newstex ) -- Dallas Braden allows just one run for the Oakland Athletics today as he goes 5 1/3 innings in a 5-2 win over the Rays. He gave up four hits and three walks, but as hes done this season, the hits were short. Gabe Kapler did manage a double, but only five of the 24 hits Braden allowed this year went for extra bases. He allowing batters to reach, but by keeping their power low, hes making it tough for them to advance. He now sports a 2.52 ERA.
