"All of us hitters are pretty insecure, and you watch 'SportsCenter' and see what the guys who are really raking are doing ... That's a bad roller coaster to get yourself on," Holliday told the San Francisco Chronicle.
Holliday said he isn't feeling any pressure to perform because he is with a new club. He noted that the A's have faced many good pitchers to start the season, and the weather was cool in Oakland and in New York.

YANKEES 9, A'S 7 (14 innings): With one out in the 14th inning, former Yankee Dan Giese gave up Melky Cabrera's second home run of the game to decide things. Kurt Suzuki snapped the A's week-long homer drought with a three-run shot off CC Sabathia in the second inning, Suzuki's first career hit off Sabathia. Oakland rookie Brett Anderson gave up three solo homers, two of them on consecutive pitches to Hideki Matsui and Cabrera in the second inning. Derek Jeter hit the other in the fourth.
