DETROIT (AP) - The Oakland Athletics activated right-hander Sean Gallagher from the 15-day disabled list Wednesday and started him against the Detroit Tigers.
Gallagher, who had been out since August 20 with shoulder fatigue, tossed four hitless innings against Detroit, but walked six and did not come out for the fifth.Gallagher entered with a 1-2 record and 6.55 ERA in seven starts with the A's, who acquired him from the Cubs in the deal that sent Rich Harden to Chicago.
