A's, RHP Springer agree to 1-year deal

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Right-hander Russ Springer agreed to a one-year contract with the Oakland Athletics on Thursday that is worth about $3 million, joining his eighth major league team as he heads into his 17th season.
